About this notice

The Becoming Global Network (TBGN) uses this website to share program information and receive inquiries. This notice explains the information involved when you browse the site or contact us.

Information you share

When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond and discuss the participation, volunteering or collaboration you request. An inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to updates.

Please do not send identity documents, immigration records, health information or financial account details in an initial inquiry. If a program later requires additional information, we will explain its purpose and the collection arrangements separately.

Website technologies

Our WordPress website and hosting services may process technical information, such as network addresses and server logs, to operate and protect the site. Cookies and similar technologies may support requested functions. External links and embedded content may involve another provider’s privacy practices. See our Cookie Notice.

Access and sharing

Information should be available only to people who need it to handle the relevant inquiry or activity and to service providers supporting those functions. We do not sell personal information. We seek permission before discretionary introductions or the public use of identifiable participant stories. Information may also need to be disclosed where legally required.

Retention and your choices

We aim to keep personal information only as long as needed for its purpose and relevant recordkeeping requirements. You can contact us to request access or a correction, withdraw permission for an optional use or raise a concern. Some information may need to be retained to meet applicable obligations or resolve an outstanding matter.

Photographs and program records

If you have a concern about an image or story on this website, send the page address and a description to our contact email. Program-specific collection, consent and participation arrangements will be explained before they apply, including arrangements for minors where relevant.

Contact

Email hello@tbgn.org with “Privacy” in the subject line. Please avoid sending sensitive identity documents with a general request.

We will revise this notice as our website and information practices develop and display the latest revision date.
